“I welcome President Biden’s nomination of Kurt Campbell to replace Wendy Sherman as Deputy Secretary of State and encourage him to take swift action where his predecessor dragged her feet. That means, among many things, finally implementing Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act sanctions, including against Ma Xingrui, advocating for an immediate end to all export licenses to Huawei and SMIC, and refusing to hold any bilateral dialogues with PRC counterparts until all Americans wrongfully detailed in the PRC are released.”
