Reagan National Defense Forum 2023: A Discussion on Artificial Intelligence Investment and Implementation

Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI), chair of the House Committee on U.S.-China Competition, and Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall joined other government officials and tech industry leaders for a discussion on the investment and implementation of artificial intelligence during the 10th annual Reagan National Defense Forum at the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. Several topics were addressed, including the benefits AI applications offer the military, the importance of private-public partnerships in AI development, and budget needs for research and investment. They also addressed competition from adversaries, such as China, and the need to work alongside allies and partners to facilitate faster AI innovation and implementation.
