ICYMI: "We Need Strength"- Select Committee Presses Biden Administration on Lacking China Strategy
This morning, Chairman Mike Gallagher (R-WI) and Ranking Member Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) of the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party hosted Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, Daniel Kritenbrink, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs, Ely Ratner, and Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Export Administration, Thea Rozman Kendler, in a hearing titled "The Biden Administration's PRC Strategy".
The officials entered the halls of Congress following months of escalating Chinese Communist Party aggression that has been met with a tepid and inadequate response from the Biden administration.

Chairman Mike Gallagher's opening remarks:
“The administration has sanctioned more PRC persons for illegal fishing than it has for genocide. The problem…is that right now, good policies are stuck in the inter-agency process, in inter-agency purgatory: apparent sacrifices to the altar of zombie engagement.”
