MEDIA ADVISORY: Gallagher To Address Chinese Dissidents in San Francisco Ahead of Xi Visit

SAN FRANCISCO, CA. -- On Saturday, November 11, at 1:00 PM PST, Chairman Mike Gallagher (R-WI) of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party will headline a press conference organized by prominent Chinese dissidents, Wei Jingsheng, Wang Dan, and Wang Juntao in San Francisco, CA. The event comes days before Chinese President Xi Jinping's arrival in San Francisco for the 2023 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit.

Chairman Gallagher will stand in solidarity with Chinese Americans and the global Chinese diaspora who have faced relentless persecution and transnational repression at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party led by Xi Jinping, while making basic demands of Xi such as releasing U.S. citizens and others wrongly imprisoned in China.

Chairman Gallagher's remarks will be published afterwards on the Select Committee's social media and website.
