This morning, Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) and Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL), Chairman and Ranking Member of the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, held a hearing titled "Authoritarian Alignment: The CCP's Support for America's Adversaries." In the hearing, members heard from Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta.

Chairman Gallagher:

Ranking Member Raja Krishnamoorthi displayed a CCP-written report that took pride in the purported killing of a CIA officer:

“Xi came to San Francisco recently and told us he wants to ‘make friends with us.’ Friends don’t glorify the killing of each other's people.”
