Moolenaar on Joining the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China

WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Chairman John Moolenaar (R-MI) today released the statement below on joining the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China (IPAC).
“The Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China is crucial for international cooperation that will help counter CCP aggression, secure supply chains, and stand together to uphold freedom, human rights, and the rule of law. I look forward to providing important American perspectives with leaders from around the world in order to confront these challenges.”
IPAC is a group of international lawmakers united in the belief that only by standing together and demanding accountability from China, will democratic countries uphold the rules-based system.
IPAC grew out of a developing consensus that the assumptions that once underpinned our engagement with Beijing no longer correspond to reality. The People’s Republic of China (PRC) under the Chinese Communist Party is increasingly authoritarian at home and ever more assertive abroad.
