Moolenaar on President Trump's Nomination of Former Senator Perdue to be the Next Ambassador to the PRC

WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Chairman John Moolenaar (R-MI) of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, released the below statement following President Trump's decision to nominate former Senator David Perdue to be the United States' next Ambassador to the People's Republic of China. 

 

“I am pleased to see President Trump’s decision to nominate former Senator David Perdue to be the United States’ next Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China. Senator Perdue will bring a clear-eyed perspective to the role and will help the United States combat the malign behavior of the Chinese Communist Party. I look forward to working with him and the incoming Trump administration to counter the CCP’s economic, military, and ideological threats in the coming year.”
