The CCP's Threat to Tibet

In February 1959, Mao Zedong spied trouble on the horizon in Tibet and salivated.

“the chaos will provide a sufficient reason to crush the rebellion and carry out reforms in the future,” he said

A month later, Mao got his bloody wish. When peaceful demonstrators surrounded the Dalai Lama’s residence in Lhasa to protect him, the People’s Liberation Army shelled them with heavy artillery, killing thousands of Tibetans.”

Unfortunately, the same group that bombarded Lhasa 64 years ago is still in power today and they have not changed.

The CCP is still power-hungry. Bloodthirsty. And where they trained their artillery on Lhasa in 1959, today they train their weapons on Tibet in people’s minds.

The term for this is “cultural genocide.” 1 million Tibetan children separated from their parents. Sent to boarding schools where their culture is forbidden. Forced to speak only Chinese. To leave their religion behind. The CCP is interfering in the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama, and wresting control of Tibetan Buddhism into Party hands.

The CCP is turning Tibet into an open air prison, just like they did in Xinjiang. 

Speech is policed and foreign journalists are banned.

Why? Because they think that if they can cut Tibet off from the world for long enough, Sinicize the population, then the world will forget about Tibet.

That’s why we need to keep repeating what happened.

Our message to the Chinese Communist Party is this: 

We will not forget. 

Because of the bravery of the Tibetan people and others in speaking out, the world is waking up to the CCP’s threat. And together, we will push back and defend ourselves.
