In case you missed it, Chairman John Moolenaar (R-MI) of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party and Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) published an op-ed in Fox News, detailing why it's important to repeal permanent normal trade relations with China.
"When General Secretary Xi Jinping was in San Francisco last fall, he declared that America and China "must not erect barriers" between one another. He can be true to his word by tearing down the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) Great Firewall.
"The threats from the Chinese Communist Party continue to grow. From the market manipulation that is hurting American industry, to the fentanyl crisis ravaging our communities, and the persistent military threats against our partners and allies, the CCP has shown why Democrats and Republicans must continue to come together to oppose its malign activities.
"Amid a presidency beset by failures of deterrence—in Afghanistan, Ukraine, and the Middle East—the Biden administration’s China policy has stood out as a relative bright spot. The administration has strengthened U.S. alliances in Asia, restricted Chinese access to critical U.S. technologies, and endorsed the bipartisan mood for competition.
